Thesis Yesterday ADA broke above the 0.2684 high from 4 Oct on 2.3x volume and closed above it. This morning it spiked to 0.2825 on 4M volume, and sellers sold straight into that spike. Since then it has made lower highs from the 0.2799 shelf, and the 13:00–14:00 bars that dropped price saw heavy selling. At 0.2738 it sits in the middle of the range: risk to structure is too wide for the 0.279 target, so the clean trade is a bid near the breakout level, where trapped sellers from 4 Oct should now act as support. Crowd read After three green days and a 30% run from the September lows, a steady stream of news (Mastercard, Petrobras, Hashdex ETF inclusion) has brought in buyers late. The rejection at 0.2825 shows early holders taking profit. Greed sits at 73, and in Greed the usual pattern is a shakeout back to the broken level before any second push, not continuation from here. Watch for Look for a dip into 0.2685–0.2700 with long lower wicks on the 15m chart and selling volume drying up, then a 15m close back above 0.2725. Separately, a 15m close above 0.2800 on 2x volume would be a fresh trigger toward 0.2825–0.285, though that would turn it into a chase setup. Wrong if An hourly close back under 0.2675 means the 0.2684 breakout has failed and the move is back inside the old range. Falling through the daily low at 0.2650 without a bounce would also confirm distribution beat absorption. Exit rules · close below 0.2675 (1h): Back under the 0.2684 breakout level: the retest failed · btc drop pct 3.0: BTC is losing its uptrend and the whole market is already down 2% today, so ADA won't hold the level alone · no progress hours 8.0: A bounce from the retest should come quickly; if it is still under entry after 8h, the buyers aren't there Managed exit (half at 1R, trail 1R) not filled yet
Screener fresh breakout scored 75 · long upper wick: sellers met the break · breakout yesterday on 1.8x volume · retesting breakout level (+2.0% from it) · +9% vs BTC on the week · 15m confirming Project No unlocks, hacks or delistings found. Recent news has been positive: a Mastercard partnership (15 Sep), a Petrobras-related deal, the Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index ETF adding ADA, and a RealFi stablecoin yield product. That news is already in the 30% rally and is pulling in retail attention. Layer 1 as a theme is waking (61% of members up, median +2.5% on the week), and ADA is moving with the group rather than leading it. Liquidity is very good: spread 0.03%, round trip 0.04% at £2,000. Risks · Today's daily candle has an upper wick about half its range after a spike on 4M volume. That reads as distribution, and price could slice through 0.2684 down to 0.25–0.26 · Daily RSI is 70 and price is 11.5% above the 20-day EMA, which is stretched for a large cap · Total crypto market cap is down 2.15% today and breadth is flat (46% of the top 200 up), so ADA has little market tailwind · The order may not fill if price bounces from 0.272 without coming back to 0.2695 · Target 0.279 sits just under the 0.28 round number and the 0.2799 shelf, where sellers stepped in four times today Sources https://coinmarketcap.com/cmc-ai/cardano/latest-updates/ https://www.openpr.com/news/4650335/cardano-price-prediction-october-2026-ada-holds-0-24-after-26 https://www.coinbase.com/price/cardano Features at call time pct_1d: 1.21 pct_7d: 12.00 vol_ratio_eff: 1.84 rsi_1d: 70.57 bbw_pct_rank: 35.64 dist_to_high_20d_pct: 1.00 consec_green_1d: 3 overhead_supply_share: 0.00 upper_wick_ratio_1d: 0.50 lower_wick_ratio_1d: 0.31 rs_vs_btc_7d: 8.88 from_ath_pct: -90.79
