Thesis AVAX has spent two weeks in a 10.0–12.0 range after the 19–20 Sep jump. It is testing the top of that range again: 11.79 on 21 Sep, 12.006 on 29 Sep, and now 11.70 at 12:00 today on 189k volume (about 6x normal), which sold off within the hour. Price has since put in higher lows near 11.39–11.42 and is pushing back up. That is real interest, but the 11.70 high from today sits just under the 11.8–12.0 supply. With a structural stop under 11.385, a trigger at 11.72 risks about 0.35 to make 0.28 to the obvious 12.0 level. Getting 2:1 would need about 12.42, roughly +6% in under 12 hours, and the base rates say +5% happens only 28% of the time. The volume is real, but the trade doesn't pay at these levels. Crowd read AVAX is trending on CoinGecko and the RWA/Korea tokenization story is being written up everywhere. Retail is paying attention after a +48% month, and today's spike to 11.70 was sold into. Each of the last three times price neared 12, holders from the late-September top sold at break-even. Unless a clean 1h close above 12.0 flips that supply, the usual result is another rejection back into the 11.4 area. Watch for Look for a 15m close above 11.72 on at least 2x average volume, then a second close that holds above 11.70. The real upgrade is a 1h close above 12.01 (the 29 Sep high): that flips the supply and opens a measured move toward 12.4–12.8, worth re-evaluating as a long on a retest of 12.0. A dip to 11.40–11.42 that holds, with long lower wicks, would offer a better-priced long against an 11.37 stop. Wrong if The trigger at 11.72 fires but price can't hold above 11.62 on the hour. Or BTC drops and pulls the whole market lower, since total market cap is already down 3.1% today and breadth is weak (42% of the top 200 up). Or price breaks under the 11.385 higher-low shelf before it ever triggers. Exit rules · close below 11.62 (1h): back under today's 11.70 spike high: the breakout failed, same pattern as the 12:00 rejection · btc drop pct 3.0: BTC losing 3% from 86.2k drags large-cap L1s down with it; total market cap is already falling · no progress hours 5.0: a breakout through this resistance should move straight to 11.9–12.0; if it stalls, sellers are absorbing it Managed exit (half at 1R, trail 1R) not filled yet
Screener volume wake scored 62 · volume 2.7x normal with price only +3.5% · 15m confirming Project No unlocks, hacks, delistings or legal problems found in the last two weeks. The positive story is RWA growth: reports say Avalanche added about $266M of tokenized real-world assets in the 30 days to 29 Sep, more than any other chain, plus coverage of a South Korea equities tokenization opportunity. That probably explains the September repricing and keeps buyers stepping in on dips. About 94% of supply is circulating, so unlock overhang is small. The wider Layer 1 theme is picking up (58% of members up, +2.1% this week vs a flat market), but AVAX is moving with the group, not leading it. Risks · Range highs at 11.79 and 12.006 have each rejected in the last two weeks, so trapped sellers are stacked between 11.8 and 12.0 · Total crypto market cap is down 3.1% in 24h while AVAX is up 5%. If the market keeps sliding, this relative strength usually doesn't last · Being on the CoinGecko trending list after a +48% month means retail attention is near its peak · Daily RSI is 68 and price is 10% above the EMA20, with Bollinger width in the top 17%. This is an extended range top, not a quiet coil · Today's daily candle already has a 31% upper wick from the 11.70 fade Sources https://cryptoticker.io/en/avalanche-tokenized-stocks-inflows https://ambcrypto.com/avalanche-eyes-south-koreas-5t-tokenization-opportunity-can-avax-benefit https://tronweekly.com/avalanche-expands-real-world-adoption-as-avax-price-setup-gains-attention Features at call time pct_1d: 3.46 pct_7d: 0.70 vol_ratio_eff: 2.70 rsi_1d: 68.36 bbw_pct_rank: 83.17 dist_to_high_20d_pct: 4.26 consec_green_1d: 2 overhead_supply_share: 0.00 upper_wick_ratio_1d: 0.31 lower_wick_ratio_1d: 0.05 rs_vs_btc_7d: -2.35 from_ath_pct: -91.98
