Thesis
FLOW spent the morning drifting between 0.0312 and 0.0324 on almost no volume. At 13:30 it jumped about 3.6M units in two 15m bars. The 13:45 bar spiked to 0.036 and closed at 0.0334, leaving a long upper wick where sellers met the buyers head-on. On the daily chart this is the third wick into the 0.036–0.0387 zone in two weeks (0.0387 on 26 Sep, 0.0386 on 3 Oct, 0.036 today), and each one was sold. Chasing at 0.0335 puts you under a fresh rejection, and a structural stop above the wick high would be too far away. The trade is a pullback to the 0.0327 shelf the spike launched from, with a stop under the 0.032 base and a target just below today's wick.
Crowd read
The crowd here is people selling into spikes: the wicks are getting bought, not the dips. Buyers trapped at 0.0355–0.0387 from late September are using every pop to get out at break-even. Spikes like this on a thin book usually give back half or more of the move within hours. Price only gets a real shot at 0.036+ if dips to 0.0327 get absorbed instead of falling straight through.
Watch for
Let it pull back to 0.0325–0.0328 on 15m bars. Enter only if that dip holds above 0.0322 with a lower wick, meaning dips are being bought. Then look for a 15m close back above 0.0340 on rising volume to confirm the move toward 0.0348. A clean 15m close above 0.0362 holding for two bars would turn this into a fresh breakout call, but the stop room would then be too wide for this horizon.
Wrong if
If price falls back below 0.0322 and closes there on the hourly, the spike was a one-off buyer and the morning range is back in charge. If the pullback never comes and price grinds sideways at 0.0333–0.0335 with volume dying off, the move is over and there is no entry.
Exit rules
· close below 0.0322 (1h): Back inside the pre-spike morning range, so the volume wake failed
· no progress hours 5.0: If it hasn't pushed above 0.0335 within 5 hours of a fill, sellers own the bounce
· btc drop pct 3.0: Total market cap is already down 2.9% today; a further BTC leg down kills small-cap bounces

Project
I found nothing material in the last two weeks: no unlocks, listings, delistings or exploits in search results. Circulating supply is already 100% of total, so there is no unlock overhang. The roadmap is AI tooling and parallel execution, with no dated catalyst. History: a security incident with a mint exploit, about $4M stolen and a 40%+ crash, was reported roughly nine months ago, and FLOW is tagged as an alleged SEC security. The coin is 99.9% below its 2021 high, so long-term holders are deep underwater and sell rallies.
Risks
· Three daily wicks into 0.036–0.0387 since 21 Sep. That is heavy overhead supply, and today's spike was sold within the same 15m bar.
· Kraken FLOW/USD 24h quote volume is only about $176k against a ~$57M cap. The spike came from roughly two bars of size, so it could be one buyer, not a crowd.
· The order book is thin: a 0.3% spread and a 0.67% round trip at £2,000, which is about 75% of the 0.9% gap from entry to stop. At £2,000 that is far past the 25% limit, so use about £500 or less (0.5% round trip, still over half the risk). The fill has to be a limit order.
· The breadth backdrop is weak: total market cap is down 2.9%, only 25% of the top 200 are green on the day, and Fear & Greed is in Greed at 73. Breakouts fail more often in that mix.
· The NFT theme is not waking (median down 1.2% today). SAND's 52% week is a leader to avoid, not one pulling the group up.
