Thesis
KAIA broke the 30 Sep high at 0.0393 on 4 Oct. It held there on 5 Oct, but the daily candle left a long upper wick at 0.0414. Today it has chopped between 0.0399 and 0.0414 with lower highs since 11:45 and 15m RSI near 40. The last bar closed at 0.0400, right on the day's floor. The structure is a valid retest of 0.0393, and a limit near 0.0395 with the stop under the 0.0393 level and the 2 Oct wick area gives about 2:1 to the 0.0414 intraday high. The problem is the Bitrue book: a 1% spread and a 2.1% round trip at £500 eat most of a 0.9-cent (about 2.3%) stop distance. As a market order this does not work. Only a resting bid that fills on the dip makes it close to worth taking.
Crowd read
Holders are still in early markup. The coin is up 17% on the week and leads Layer 1 alongside NIGHT, without trending on CoinGecko or any social spike. The 0.82 upper-wick ratio on 5 Oct shows sellers leaning on 0.041. A drift back to 0.0393 to shake out late buyers is the usual next move before any second push.
Watch for
A wick into 0.0393–0.0396 that 15m buyers absorb with a long lower wick and a close back above 0.0399 would confirm the retest is holding. Only use a resting limit, never a market order on this book. If price instead closes an hour under 0.0391, drop the idea.
Wrong if
An hourly close back under 0.0391 means the retest of 0.0393 failed and the breakout is turning into a range top. Losing the 0.0399 floor on rising 15m volume while BTC weakens also points to a deeper flush rather than a bounce.
Exit rules
· close below 0.0391 (1h): Back under the 0.0393 breakout level: the retest failed
· btc drop pct 3.0: Total market cap is already down 2.5% on the day. A further BTC slide drags weak-breadth alts with it.
· no progress hours 8.0: If it has not bounced off the bid within 8 hours, the 12-hour window is mostly gone

retest scored 59

Project
KAIA is the merged Klaytn and Finschia L1. Circulating supply is about 100% of total, so unlock overhang is negligible. It is a co-leader of the Layer 1 group this week (+19% 7d), but the theme is not waking (median +2.5%). It trades on Bitrue only in this packet, where the book is thin. No search was run, and nothing in the packet points to a catalyst or a negative event.
Risks
· On Bitrue, a £500 round trip costs 2.1% and £2000 costs 5.6%. There is only about $525 of asks within 2% of mid, so fills and exits will slip badly against a 2.3% stop.
· The 5 Oct daily upper wick to 0.0414 shows supply there. A second test of 0.0414 is likely to reject before it breaks.
· Breadth is weak: only 26% of the top 200 are up on the day, total market cap is down 2.5%, and Fear & Greed sits at 73 (Greed). Breakouts fail more often in this setting.
· Daily RSI is 74.7 and price is 14% above EMA20, so the coin is extended on the daily. A deeper pullback toward 0.037 would blow through the stop.
