Thesis ORCA broke above 2.118 on 4 Oct on heavy volume and ran another 20% on 5 Oct. Today's candle tapped the 2.50 round number and was pushed back, leaving a long upper wick. That puts it 32% above its 20-day average price, with daily RSI at 78 and the price up 46% in a week. That is the late part of the move, not the first candle through the level. Buying now at 2.34 needs a stop under the breakout around 2.08, which caps reward-to-risk to 2.50 at roughly 0.6:1. The only trade worth considering is a pullback to the 2.12–2.20 breakout zone that holds, and even then it misses 2:1 to the obvious 2.50 target. So this is a watch, not a long. Crowd read The month-long climb from 1.30 has turned into a near-vertical leg, and the market is in Greed (Fear & Greed index 73). Late buyers are paying for early buyers' exits. The rejection at 2.50 shows sellers waiting at the round number. Moves like this usually get a sharp shakeout back towards the breakout level before any continuation. Watch for A pullback into 2.12–2.20 on 4h candles with long lower wicks and falling volume, followed by a 4h close back above 2.25. Or, alternatively, a daily close above 2.50 on volume above 150k, which would turn this into a new breakout with targets near 2.85. Wrong if A 4h close back below 2.10 would mean the breakout at 2.118 failed and the move is fading back into the old range. Losing the 1.955 swing low from 5 Oct ends the whole leg. Exit rules · close below 2.08 (4h): Back below the 2.118 breakout level: the retest failed · btc drop pct 4.0: Market rolling over: alt runs after a near-vertical move fall hardest · no progress hours 48.0: If a retest fill doesn't bounce within 2 days, buyers have gone Managed exit (half at 1R, trail 1R) not filled yet
Screener fresh breakout scored 90 (reasons were not kept on this call) Project I found nothing material in the last two weeks: no unlock, listing, hack or lawsuit showed up. Earlier coverage mentions tokenized-stock volume growth and exchange staking offers. About 81% of supply is circulating, so dilution pressure is moderate. Total volume across all exchanges is large relative to market cap, so there is real interest beyond Kraken. Risks · Rejected at 2.50 on the first test after a near-vertical run, and RSI is above 75 on both the daily and the 4h. A 10–15% pullback is the likely next move. · Kraken ORCA/USD trades only about $0.5M a day, so the order book is thin and slippage on stop orders will be worse than the chart suggests. · Market breadth is poor: only 24% of the top 200 are green over 24h and total market cap is down 2.9%. ORCA is moving on its own, and those moves fade quickly when the market turns. · There is no GBP pair, so you pay a currency conversion on top of the trade.
