Thesis AKT pushed out of its 0.63-0.72 range on 4 October on 8x normal volume. It then failed twice in the 0.79-0.85 area. The 4 October close of 0.777 stayed under the 23 September high of 0.788. Today's spike to 0.8466 has given back almost all of it, leaving a 64% upper wick, and price is sliding on dying 4h volume (the latest bar is 0.19x normal). Price is still 13.7% above the EMA20 and the move is not confirmed, so buying here means buying into supply. The cleaner trade is a pullback to the 0.70-0.71 shelf, the old range top where the breakout started, with a stop under the 0.671 breakout-day low. Crowd read The screener calls this a volume wake, but the heavy volume came on the spike and the rejection, not on quiet accumulation. That points to early holders and the trapped 0.78-0.79 buyers from 23 September selling into the AI-rotation chasers. That kind of selling usually leads to a drift back toward the breakout base before anyone can tell whether the move was real. Watch for Bid 0.708 only if price reaches the 0.70-0.72 zone on falling volume and the 4h candles show lower wicks (dips being bought), not wide-bodied red bars. Separately, a daily close above 0.85 on volume above 1.5M would be a valid breakout. But the structural stop would then sit under 0.74, which is too loose, so that trade would need a fresh assessment. Wrong if A daily close back under 0.67 would put price back inside the old range and make the breakout a failure. A 4h close under 0.70 on rising volume, rather than a dip that wicks and recovers, also kills the retest idea. Exit rules none set Managed exit (half at 1R, trail 1R) not filled yet
Screener volume wake scored 62 (reasons were not kept on this call) Project Nothing material found in the last two weeks: no unlocks, listings, delistings, hacks or lawsuits came up. Coverage puts the late-September rally down to AI-sector rotation and whale buying. The circulating supply is about all of total supply, but max supply is 388M, so ongoing staking inflation adds a slow, steady supply drip. AKT is not trending on CoinGecko, so retail attention has not peaked yet. Risks · Two rejections around 0.80-0.85 within 48 hours mean 0.80 is now a well-defended supply zone, and target1 sits right underneath it · There was no clear news behind the spike, so the volume could be one whale or AI-narrative rotation that fades just as fast · The pullback may not stop at 0.71. The 22-27 September consolidation ran down to 0.64-0.65, so a deeper flush could hit the stop before any bounce · Fear & Greed is at 70 (Greed) and breadth is flat (median alt +0.1% over 7 days), so alts have no tailwind if BTC slips from just under its 20-day high · Daily ATR is about 7.9%, which leaves the 6.2% stop only a little more than one day's normal range of breathing room Sources https://www.coinbase.com/price/akash-network https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/akash-network Features at call time pct_1d: -3.82 pct_7d: 14.11 vol_ratio_eff: 4.12 rsi_1d: 66.10 bbw_pct_rank: 89.11 dist_to_high_20d_pct: 7.39 consec_green_1d: 0 overhead_supply_share: 0.04 upper_wick_ratio_1d: 0.64 lower_wick_ratio_1d: 0.06 rs_vs_btc_7d: 11.81 from_ath_pct: -90.32
