Thesis ORCA broke the 1.859 high from 27 Sep on 3.4x volume yesterday and has held above it. But this is the sixth green day in a row. It sits 21% above the EMA20 with a daily RSI of 75, and today's candle has a 73% upper wick: it was rejected at 2.20 and is closing back at the 2.00 round number. Buying at 2.02 means a stop at 1.77 against 2.18 as the first target, which is worse than 1:1. The trade is a pullback into the 1.86–1.88 breakout zone, where old resistance should act as support, with the stop under the 1.784 low of the breakout candle. Crowd read After a 58% month, today's wick shows late buyers chasing the 2.20 high and getting sold into. The volume was 3.4x normal while price moved only 0.5%, which looks like distribution at the round number, not absorption. Runs like this usually shake out back toward the breakout level before anyone gets paid on a continuation. The broader market is in Greed (70) with flat breadth, so there's no tailwind to rescue chasers. Watch for Look for a pullback into 1.86–1.90 that leaves lower wicks on the 4h candles and dries up on volume, then a 4h close back above 1.95. Fill on the 1.87 limit only if the daily close stays above 1.80. If price pushes through 2.20 instead, it needs two 4h closes above that level on volume before anything counts, and even then it's a new setup. Wrong if A daily close back below 1.80, under both the breakout level and the round number, makes the breakout a failed one and traps buyers above. Separately, a direct push through 2.20 on rising volume without a pullback means the retest never comes, so stand aside rather than chase. Screener fresh breakout scored 71 (reasons were not kept on this call) Project Orca is a long-standing Solana AMM/DEX with 81% of supply circulating, a fixed 75M total supply and no large unlock flagged. Recent coverage is about institutional and tokenized-stock volume, and Bitvavo offers ORCA staking. I found no listing, hack or unlock news in the last two weeks to explain this move. It is not trending on CoinGecko, which is a slight positive for how late the crowd is. Risks · The 2.20 rejection may mark a local top. If so, the pullback may not hold 1.86 and could fill the whole 27 Sep–4 Oct leg down toward 1.65. · The Kraken ORCA/USD book is thin (about $386k a day against roughly $74m traded across all venues), so wicks through 1.77 can hit stops before price recovers. · BTC closed red and total market cap fell 1.8% on the day. If the majors roll over from their 20-day highs, a high-beta alt that has run this far will give back more. · There is no clear news behind the move, so it could be rotation-driven and fade as fast as it came.
