Thesis
BEAM broke its September high of 0.002248 on 4 Oct on about 8x normal volume. But it spiked to 0.003052 and left a 60% upper wick, so sellers were waiting up there. Today is a quieter inside-range day around 0.0025, which still holds the breakout, but price is 12% above the broken level and 22% above EMA20 with daily RSI at 76. Chasing at market is late. The early entry is a pullback toward the 0.0023 area, with a stop below the 0.00213 launch base and a target at today's 0.00274 high.
Crowd read
The spike candle and the '+35% in 24h' headlines show late buyers piled in at 0.0027–0.0030 and are now underwater. They will sell into any bounce toward that zone. A shakeout back toward the breakout level usually comes before any second leg, and a pullback that gets bought there is where the late buyers get shaken out and new buyers step in.
Watch for
A pullback into 0.0023–0.00235 with long lower wicks on the 4h and 4h volume drying up, followed by a 4h close back above 0.0025. That is the long. If price instead closes the day below 0.00225, stand aside.
Wrong if
A daily close back below 0.00225 (the old breakout level) means the breakout failed and the 4 Oct buyers are trapped. Also invalid if price pushes back above 0.0028 without ever pulling back: then the setup has run away, so don't chase it.

Project
No unlock, listing, hack or partnership news found from the last two weeks. The only coverage was articles reporting the 4 Oct ~35% spike. 87.7% of supply is already circulating, so dilution risk is low (FDV ~$146M vs market cap ~$128M). BEAM is a gaming/GameFi chain token, still 94% below its March 2024 all-time high.
Risks
· The 0.0027–0.00305 spike zone is fresh overhead supply from 4 Oct buyers. The first retest of 0.00274 may well reject.
· Kraken BEAM/USD is thin, at about $218k quote volume in 24h against ~$47M globally. Fills and stops on Kraken can slip, and wicks like the 25 Sep flush to 0.00146 can take out stops.
· No catalyst found for the 4 Oct spike. A move with no news behind it often gives back most of its gains.
· Total crypto market cap is -2% today and Fear & Greed is in Greed (70). In late-greed conditions, alt spikes fade more often than they follow through.
